Like Marc Cohn, Lyle Lovett and Bonnie Raitt, Big Hands Colvin’s musical style is difficult to define—a little bit blues, a little bit country, a little bit soul. Whether he’s songwriting, singing, playing sax or guitar—Big Hands is a big talent. A former frontman for the Central-Coast-of-California-based, Big Daddy’s Rhythm & Blues Band, Colvin has played with or opened for a number of well-known artists including: Tom Scott, Jesse Colin Young, and Johnny Winter.
Big Hands Colvin has also toured extensively as a member of the Cardiff Reefers, Rock Steady Posse and Eric Ellsworth Band. He is a professional songwriter with an impressive catalog of original material.
Colvin regularly plays with guitarist Jesse Savage and bassist Joshua Colvin.
