About
Dan "Big Hands" Colvin is a real-life authentic American singer-songwriter. Currently he is in the studio working on a new record.
A former frontman for the Central-Coast-of-California-based, Big Daddy’s Rhythm & Blues Band, Colvin has played with or opened for a number of well-known artists including: Tom Scott, Jesse Colin Young, and Johnny Winter. Big Hands Colvin has also toured extensively as a member of the Cardiff Reefers, Rock Steady Posse and Eric Ellsworth Band.
A lifetime of experience touring the country, playing concert halls, festival stages, honkytonks and house parties is reflected in his biographical songs and storytelling. And like this country, his music is a melting pot, with elements of blues, country, jazz and soul. Like John Hiatt, Bonnie Rait or Marc Cohn, Colvin doesn't fit easily into any particular category.
